The Science
of Positive Psychology
Every word, sound and action at PosiFest is curated to share the research-supported principles of positive psychology.
Positive Psychology is the scientific study of the strengths that enable individuals and communities to thrive. This field shifts the focus off of "What's wrong?" and onto "What's right? And how can we all do more of that?"
Positive Psychology is based on the belief that people want to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives, to cultivate what is best within themselves, and to enhance their experiences of love, work, and play.
This includes:
-
Developing coping skills to manage the normal emotional challenges of life, such as stress, frustration and disappointment
-
Learning how to make stronger connections with other people
-
Improving the quality of inner and outer self-talk
-
Focusing on your strengths
-
Nurturing vibrant emotions like curiosity, awe, surprise and joy
-
Expressing gratitude
But still we need to answer this question: How?
PosiFest will teach you how.
